WHEREAS there is currently no written structure for Student Association Productions; and

WHEREAS a committee handling a signifcant portion of the budget should be accountable; therefore the 48th Student Senate proposes

A Bylaw Amendment

Article VII: Section 6 subsection A (Vice President of Programming's responsibilities) gets amended to read as follows:

Serve as the chairperson of the Programming Board and of Student Association Productions.; and

Subsection B of the same section gets amended to read as follows:

Oversee the internal elections of the following positions for each committee:; and

Article III Section 3 gets moved to Section 4 and the following gets added as Section 3:

The duties and responsibilities of Student Association Productions shall include the following:

  • To act as a programming arm of the Student Association.
  • Have at least one big event during each year.
  • Use the rest of the budget to hold smaller programs or in the larger program, by majority vote of the committee.
  • The committee will be made up of 10 Council of Organization members.
  • Nominations shall be made in Council of Organizations and must be confirmed in Senate.
  • Members are expected to:
    1. Plan, organize and staff events held by Student Associatio Productions.
    2. Chair or act as a member of the subcommittees of Student Association Productions.
    3. The specific subcommittees are created by the committee in accordance with their current needs, potentially including:
      1. Financial
      2. Marketing
      3. Hospitality
