Description: 
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a volunteer organization in which mentors are matched with children.
Purpose: 
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a volunteer organization in which young adult mentors are matched with children of various ages to form a one on one relationship based on trust and friendship. Big Brothers Big Sisters is involved in the SUNY New Paltz Volunteer Fair every year and has gained over 100 volunteers from SUNY New Paltz. By creating an official Big Brothers Big Sisters organization on campus, we will be able to recruit more volunteers as well as organize fundraisers for the organization. We will be able to have meetings on campus to plan and discuss things. By working with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ulster County, we may be able to get a program where the kids come to the SUNY New Paltz campus to hang out with their Big Brothers or Sisters as well.
