Description: 
To explore alternative dance styles in the folk culture.
Purpose: 
We will teach students how to Contra dance with lessons on campus, along with attending local contra dances around the New Paltz area. Each spring semester we'd like to take a large group to the Saratoga Dance Flurry, where MANY different dance styles are presented and explored (Salsa, Waltz, Contra, Hip hop, swing, zydeco, and many more!). Collaborations with other dance groups on campus are strongly desired!!
