Dumbledore's Army of New Paltz

The Harry Potter Alliance is an advocacy group that takes themes from the Harry Potter books and applies them to the real world dark arts such as fighting genocide, working to increase literacy, and fighting for LGBTQ rights. We are looking to expand beyond the Harry Potter fandom and include other fandoms such as The Hunger Games, Doctor Who, Nerdfighteria, the YouTube community, etc. We participate in all the official HPA campaigns as well as some our own charity work. We love to work with other advocacy groups on campus as well. Don't be sad...while we are primarily an advocacy group, we are awesome just of group of nerds who like to come together and have fun, so we have fun awesome nerdy events throughout the semester too!
