Description:
is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empower and motivate all underprivileged youth worldwide.
Purpose:
Our purpose is to raise money and awareness; gather books, and school supplies and educational materials;partner with other organizations; and seek volunteers on college campuses for the empowerment of underprivileged children in the Caribbean and Latin America; . Our main goal is El Colibri International Program: El ColibrÃ's International Program reaches around the world through special projects, such as building schools and gathering materials for educational purposes for 3rd world countries, starting with the DR Project. With the DR Project, we will be able to build schools across the Dominican Republic at a cost of only $40,000 a school. These schools include 6 classrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 office, 1 library and a playground. The Dominican Republic has the lowest investment in education in Latin America and the Caribbean with only 1.9 percent of its GDP invested in public education. With the DR Project, we are building schools across the Dominican Republic at only $40,000 a school. These schools include 6 classrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 office, 1 library and a playground.
