Description:
Students of all majors work together to support, maintain, and outreach renewable energy technologie
Purpose:
This club is a way for students of all disciplines to work together to raise awareness of the various renewable energy technologies to students in grades Kindergarten through college. The "green machine" is a nicely outfitted mobile classroom, made from a donated trailer, that contains experiments for demonstration to students. Our club will help create more demonstrations, maintain the ones we have, and show teachers in local school districts how to use the "green machine". We will also schedule and deliver the trailer to the schools that want to use it. We will also raise funds to improve the green machine and we will market it to schools for their use. The green machine also uses video and animation to describe renewable energy. So the club could use students with an interest in helping to make the transition to renewable energy from any academic discipline including, but not limited to, Business, Physics, Chemistry, Marketing, Engineering, Art, etc.. The green machine is owned by TSEC, The Solar Energy Consortium, and they will allow our student club to manage the entire use of the vehicle.
