Invisible Children Club works to raise awareness and fundraise to end Africa's longest running war
Purpose:
Invisible Children Club is building awareness about the issues concerning the LRA in Northern Uganda by organizing events & fundraisers on campus and in the community. We are "fighting" to stop the war and bring peace. We hope to inspire others to help us take action so that we can work together to change history. "Invisible Children is a social, political and global movement using the transformative power of story to change lives. By inspiring youth culture to value creativity and idealism the movement fuels the most effective, adaptable and innovative programs in the world. Invisible Children Club uses fundraising and special events to help spread the knowledge and collect funds to help the people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda. We work to bring speakers from the Invisible Children Roadies to Falling Whistles Representatives. We also aim to take at least one field trip a semester, make club t-shirts and have club bonding activities to help create unity in the club, learn more and share information with the rest of the campus community.
