Basic Information
Here are the basic details of the organization.
Name of the organization:
Papercrafting Club
New Organization:
This is a new organization
Semester:
Fall 2010
Board:
Fine and Performing Arts
Intercollegiate:
Not intercollegiate
Description:
Learn how to create 3-D animals, buildings, cars, and other fun things out of paper.
Purpose:
The purpose of the club is to not only introduce a form of art most people are not familiar with (Papercrafting, in which the papercrafter cuts out parts of a design from pieces of paper and glues them together like a puzzle), but to hopefully get them interested in it so they'd like to participate in it and create their own works of art. Normally a very lonely activity, the social aspect of the club will give new papercrafters the motivation to keep trying and working at the skill, and it will also give them an audience to showcase their works to.
