Description:
An advisory board that is the student run component to the Scholar's Mentorship Program
Purpose:
The objectives of the organization shall be: A. To promote interest in the Scholar’s Mentorship Program. B. To provide fellowship among students and staff campus wide. C. To represent student priorities and needs related to administrative policies D. To provide a forum for the presentation of innovative ideas to the benefit of SUNY New Paltz and the Scholar’s Mentorship Program. E. To assist with programming initiatives: i. e. The Annual Cultural Tour, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Workshop Series. F. To distribute and collect annual evaluations about the effectiveness of the Scholar’s Mentorship Program. G. To encourage participation in Scholar’s Mentorship Program events and in campus-wide student services initiatives such as Make a Difference Day, Relay for Life and other campus wide events. H. To participate in Accepted Student Day, Open House, and Prospective Student Day. I. To foster interest and participation in a National Honor Societies.
