Description:
A community based club that furthers the knowledge and technical skills in sculpture
Purpose:
To gain knowledge in both the business and technical aspects of art concentrating in sculpture. As a club, we invite visitors to give lectures and demonstrations on their specialties, curators and collectors to speak about the art world as a business, as well as professors from other schools and professional artists to come and give demonstrations to teach us the skills they have specialized in. We would like to use this organization to not only to learn inside the realm of academia, but to organize shows both on campus and off campus and trips to museums, conferences, as well as artist studios to further our knowledge of the art world while we are in school to prepare ourselves for our entrance into it as professionals.
