Description: 
A group committed the promotion of reason, scientific inquiry, and critical thinking.
Purpose: 
The purpose of the Skeptics Society is, more than anything else, to promote free thought. Too often, even at the collegiate level, students are content to take what they hear and read at face value. It is our deeply-held belief that an education without a strong basis in critical thinking skills is a best incomplete and at worst worthless. Therefore, we aspire to promote free thought, scientific inquiry, and critical examination of ideas, practices, and philosophies. Our aim, then, is to help people to become better thinkers, and ultimately freer and more enlightened human beings.
