Description:
Student interdisciplinary Math Club featuring a SIAM lecture series
Purpose:
The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics is an nation-wide club for college students interested in Mathematics. The New Paltz chapter of SIAM has members from the math department, as well as biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering who come together to work on projects involving applied mathematics. We also host a lecture series for New Paltz faculty and Alumni to come and present their research in mathematics and a campus wide Integration Bee for undergraduate students to compete for prizes.
