Women's Rugby

Women's Rugby exists to teach the sport to young women at SUNY New Paltz. No experience is necessary to join, and our mission has always been to teach each other as equals. We participate in intercollegiate matches in the fall and attend tournaments in the spring. We host our own charity tournament each spring called Ruckfest, where we invite several neighboring teams to our school for a day of rugby, and donate proceeds to the local fire department. Last year, we also organized a Prom Dress Rugby Match, where we raised money to benefit a local women's shelter. Women's Rugby is dedicated to illustrating the strength, skill, and unity that can exist among a group of individuals.
