Description: 
A group that encourages the development of American Jazz Music through performances and workshops.
Purpose: 
The purpose of Jazz Society is to inform and educate the students of New Paltz in the language and history of America's true musical art form; Jazz. Participants will be able to attend weekly jam sessions which will encourage musical development and networking amongst musicians. Supplemental performances, workshops, and master classes will be given every semester by professional musicians in order to further educate students about the jazz art form.
