Purpose:
Boys to Men's purpose is to provide a quintessential tool to our youth throughout the New York City and Ulster County Area. Kids are brought to the school via provided transportation. Once here, they engage in a two fold day. The first half consist of guest speakers from different administrative offices in SUNY New Paltz advising on the proper steps to take before coming to college once you are here. We then proceed to take tours of various dormitories and academic buildings, while observing the natural beauty that the campus has to offer. Afterwards, we proceed to Hasbrouck Dining Hall where they engage in the ultimate college freshmen experience! Finally, the second half of the day consist of exposing these kids to the multicultural diversity and social gratification that, not only New Paltz, but also other colleges have to offer. Live performances are held from different social organizations on campus, including a first hand introduction to Greek Life from different fraternities and sororities on the campus. At the end, souvenirs are given and the kids depart.
