LARP

LARPing stands for Live Action Role Play. Students have been getting together every Tuesday night for over a semester now to participate. They create characters and act out scenarios where objectives are completed. These include quests and adventures. Some players use foam swords, which follow strict regulation guidelines for safety purposes. People usually dress in costume according to what their characters would wear. When I created this group, I had only one member. Now we have over a dozen members and we're still growing. Everyone in LARPing has become good friends with each other and they constantly tell me they look forward to Tuesday nights. Most importantly, a great emphasis is placed on developing leadership and teamwork skills.
