New Paltz Art Therapy Association

Although many students are currently entering or graduating from SUNY New Paltz with aspirations to become an Art Therapist, there is no major to accommodate them. Being a newly recognized, yet noted and progressing field, information regarding Art Therapy, is hard to come by at this University. This is a club that is concerned with sharing information about the professional field of Art Therapy and the steps to take to gear your personal studies towards a Master's degree and eventual practice. It is the goal of the club to organize functions, including lectures, workshops, and visits to professional offices or work sites. It is the hope that after a grounding, this club can help to plant the seeds of professional relationships and field experience while at the undergraduate level, through placement in internships and independent studies.
