Swing Dance Club

The swing club will be a place where any member of the college community can come and learn how to swing dance. We will host a weekly social dance, where we can meet other students and have a great time dancing to the music of the Big Band Era as well as some more modern swing. In the interest of developing the swing dance scene at New Paltz, we will also be teaching a weekly lesson and hopefully hosting professional swing instructors a few time each semester. Swing club will also be a place for students to get together and work on choreographing dance routines. There will be a campus event each semester in which we host a social dance with a big band open to everyone. We hope to send representatives to regional events such as, but not limited to, Dance Flurry in Saratoga.
