Description:
A forum for undergraduate research into the "insurrection of subjugated knowledges".
Purpose:
Much as The Kitchen served as a home for SoHo's nascent performance art and minimalist music scenes in the early 1970s, the Student Center intends to foster intellectual and personal growth through the praxes of original academic research, intermedia showcases, concert performances, artistic composition, public film screenings, highly informal lectures, and discussion groups. A newsletter/journal is printed on an irregular basis. The Center primarily works in conjunction with likeminded students at Stony Brook University, SUNY Purchase, and Hunter College.
