Description:
Geared toward bringing fresh drinking water to people in developing countries.
Purpose:
Students for Fresh Water will combine the effort of passionate participants to organize various charity events (concerts, runs, sporting events, etc.) to benefit charity:water. Charity:water is a non-profit organization that raises money in various fashions to fund the drilling of wells in countries where people travel miles each day to obtain drinking water from holes in the ground. One-billion people in the world still don't have access to clean drinking water, and it is something most citizens in industrial societies take for granted. All donations received by charity:water go directly toward drilling wells, because they have a group of board members who fund their projects and charity campaigns.
