The Council of Organizations is a legislative body of the Student Association. The membership is one representative from each of the SA recognized organizations on campus.
Organizations are admitted to the Council by submitting an online Charter form that will be approved by the Council Chair.

Club/Organization Involvement Fair

For those of you who did not have the opportunity to sign up for the Student Activities Fair this semester, don't fret! There is going to be another fair in the beginning of the spring semester (1/31) as done before.  To sign up, go to SUB 209. Up to 50 organizations can sign up.  Just put your name, organization, phone number, and email address.  It is first come, first served.

Here are the minutes from the last Council meeting. Please read through them so we can expidite their approval at the beginning of the next meeting. Thank you.

Council Chair Position

We are winding down to the end of the semester,
and there are some changes that need to be made for the upcoming Spring
semester. Due to circumstances beyond my control (pardon the cliche), I
will no longer be able to hold the position of Council Chair for the
Council of Organizations.  I apologize for any inconvenience this may
cause, but as I've stated, the situation is "beyond my control."

Council Meeting Tonight!

Just a reminder, there will be a Council of Orgs meeting tonight (11/12) in Lecture Center 102 at 9 p.m.

Office Assignments

Attached are the offices assigned to the organizations who requested space.  If you need any changes to be made, email Jessica at President@newpaltzsa.com as soon as possible.

Good standing attendance policy

If you recall, we made an announcement during council about missing meetings. Organizations who miss two (2) council meetings this semester will no longer considered in "good standing." Losing this status will result in losing access to funding.

That being said, the following organizations have not attended a single meeting:

Student Organizations - get your mandatory email addresses and passwords

Student Organizations can access their new NewPaltzSA.com email addresses by Contacting the Council Chair at CouncilChair@newpaltzsa.com to get your password. These emails will be used to contact your organization with important information, like program approval, and meeting information and will be listed on your club's page of the site for students to contact you, so it is important that you check this account often.

The newly revised Charter Forms for each organization in the Student
Association are available now in PDF format.  Just type, print and
submit to my mailbox in SUB 428.
