The Student Senate is the primary political arm of the StudentAssociation. The senate is composed of twenty-five studentrepresentatives elected at large. The body is responsible for creatingpolicies to govern the conduct and operation of the StudentAssociation. Additionally, the Senate serves as a forum to discusscampus issues and promote various policies and goals. Senatorsare educated on campus issues and politics and are privided withoffices in the Student Union Building where they are available to meetwith students and community members.
The Office of the Senate Chair
The Office of the Senate Chair exists to help recruit, train, andmoderate meetings of the Student Senate. The Senate Chair is alsoresponsible for advocating the will of the Senate to the ExecutiveBranch of the Student Government. The Chair also serves as anex-officio member of the Executive Board.
